What do I wear to class?
Dress in something that will allow you to move easily, and allow me to see your movements clearly. Recommended attire would be athletic or yoga pants, and a tank top, form fitting t-shirt, sports bra, or choli top. A dance leotard or unitard is also acceptable. Showing your belly in class is not a requirement.
Am I too fat/old/uncoordinated to belly dance?
Absolutely not! Belly dancing is done by women of all shapes, sizes, fitness levels.
About performances:
Will the performance be appropriate for children?
Yes. Belly dancing is a family friendly art form, and children are often some of the most appreciative audience members!
What kind of music will be played at my event?
If no music preference is specified when you book your event, a variety of belly dance music of different styles and genres will be played. However, if you have specific music requests, they can be accomodated if you request this when booking your event.
Is tipping appropriate?
Yes. If guests would like to tip, they can do so by either tipping the dancer directly (The dancer will show them an appropriate place to put the tip.) or the tips can be thrown over the dancer's head in a "money shower", to be collected after the performance.
What if I need more than one dancer?
Multiple dancers are available for more impact at your event. Please request this option when you inquire about booking your event.
